One of the two children's facilities of the Studentenwerk Freiberg is located directly at the entrance to the campus. The day nursery is adjoined by a playground with trees, shrubs and hedges.The day nursery is designed as a combined crèche and kindergarten facility.
The nursery has a capacity of 70 places:
- Crèche area: 30 children from 0.4 to 3 years of age
- Kindergarten: 40 children from the age of 3 to school age
The house is divided into a crèche area with two group rooms and three separate bedrooms, two sanitary rooms and two wardrobes. Direct access to the playground is possible from the cloakrooms. In front of each group room there is a terrace which can be accessed from the room. In a separate room next to the entrance, buggies and bicycles can be parked.
Two group rooms, a cloakroom and a sanitary room belong to the kindergarten area. The large play hall is also used for free play. Furthermore, all children have access to a creative room for research, painting, creative design and experimentation.
