Student jobs in the Mensa
We give students the opportunity to increase their budget by offering jobs in our Mensa. As a student you can earn some extra money in the dishwashing kitchens, at the serving counter and as a service worker for special events. For this purpose, we sign agreements with the students about temporary employment. We are a reliable partner for the students - we pay punctually and well. See also:
Apprenticeship
Every year we train young people to become cooks in our Mensa. In addition, we act as a cooperation partner for inter-company training providers in the cook training profession. In regional cooking competitions, our trainees have achieved top placings in recent years. We also offer pupils the opportunity to get to know the profession of cook better during their school internships. The internship provides an insight into the different areas of a kitchen and enables students to work in typical work processes, thus making it easier to choose a career later on.
Ingredients and food additives
Our chefs process food of high quality and freshness in modernly equipped kitchens. Quality at a reasonable price always has priority in all decisions. The food is only purchased from suppliers who can demonstrate certified high quality standards. By the way, the majority of our product range is put out to tender throughout Europe in conjunction with the other Studentenwerke in the new federal states. This guarantees consistent quality at a reasonable price. It goes without saying that we do not use genetically modified food. All ingredients subject to labelling are also displayed.
